The qulkhwani of Arafat Rahman Koko

The qulkhwani of Arafat Rahman Koko, younger son of late president Ziaur Rhaman and former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be held on Friday. 

A source of BNP’s Gulshan office said that the qulkhwani will be held on Friday at Azad Mosque in Gulshan.

Besides, BNP will observe several programmes across the country in the same day. 

On Tuesday, the body of Koko was buried at Banani Graveyard in the capital after offering the second namaj-e-janaza in front of the national mosque Baitul Mukarram.

Thousands of people from all walks of life and scores of BNP leaders and activists attended his namaz-e-janaza and his burying programme.

Earlier, a Malaysia Airlines flight carrying the body of Arafat Rahman Koko left Malaysia at 9:40am and arrived here at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at around 11:30am.

Koko, who had been living in Malaysia on parole, died of heart failure at Kuala Lumpur around 1:30pm on Saturday.
